Porter’s Craft & Frame is a craft, frame, fabric, scrapbooking, and home décor store located on 19 College Ave in Rexburg, Idaho. There is also a Porter’s located on 2455 E 25th St, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Porter’s is a family owned business and in honor of ‘National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day’ Porter’s is sharing a little more about our history.
The Porter’s store has family roots dating back to 1912 when Arthur Porter created a retail store/newspaper printer and named it “Porters.” Here is a picture of the old newspaper printing room in Porters.
A few years and family generations later, Chuck and Linda Porter, most recent ‘Mom and Pop business owners’ have taken the lead to own and operate what is now known as Porter’s Craft & Frame.
Here is another picture of the front of the Porter’s store dating back to the 70’s.
Porters was even around on June 5, 1976 when the Teton Dam broke and devastated much of the city of Rexburg. Here is a picture of the damage that was done at the Porters store.
Here at Porter’s Craft and Frame we honor the past by remembering our founders. And now we celebrate National Mom and Pop Business Owners day by recognizing our new leaders Chuck and Linda Porter.
