St. Patrick’s Day, though it was not originally about the color green and rainbows, has become known as the day of green, shamrocks, rainbows, leprechauns, and pots of gold.
Here are some fun craft, food, favor, and game ideas for your upcoming St. Patrick’s Day parties:
- Gold Coins
Use chocolate gold coins to place inside black pots and give them away as party favors.
Make your own or buy foam or felt Shamrocks as a craft that kids can decorate with paint, markers, jewels, and other embellishments.
Make green pistachio pudding and serve it with Oreos. (The Oreos don’t mean anything the pudding just tastes really good with Oreos inside.)
You can also do the traditional corned beef and cabbage.
Hold a games day and emulate the old Irish games that are still played today. (These will have to be modified according to how old the children are and where you are having the party.)
- Face painting
Make the party extra fun by adding face painting as one of the activities for the day.
Host a great party and have a fantastic St. Patrick’s Day!
